Our Brand History

The Weatherdek system was originally developed in the Canadian West Coast where waterproofing is an important consideration in building design. Weatherdek has earned the trust of design professionals, builders, and homeowners, by installing millions of square feet of dependable, maintenance-free, waterproof deck surfaces in virtually every climate in North America and as far away as New Zealand.

Our network of locally owned and operated Weatherdek Dealers has literally hundreds of years of combined experience. We’ve been around through multiple warranty cycles with proven products and know what works. The Beginning

Weatherdek membrane technology is introduced, laying the foundation for modern waterproof walking surfaces.

1985

New Head Office.

Weatherdek outgrows its existing facility and opens a new head office and warehouse in Kelowna, BC.

1993

Strategic Evolution

Weatherdek transitions from installation to focus exclusively on expanding its wholesale dealer network across Canada.

1996

Eastern Expansion

Weatherdek opens a warehouse in London, Ontario to support growing demand and expand its presence across Eastern Canada.

2001

International Expansion

Weatherdek enters the New Zealand market following BRANZ code appraisal, establishing a dealer network across the islands.

2007

A New Warranty Standard

Weatherdek introduces the industry’s first 15-year warranty, setting a new benchmark for long-term performance and confidence.

2010

Product Innovation

Weatherdek introduces the Hardwood Plus lines of realistic looking wood plank style membranes.

2017

Facility Expansion

After once again outgrowing its existing space, Weatherdek adds over 5,000 sq. ft. of storage and processing capacity at its Kelowna, BC headquarters.
